Green Island

Off Cunjurong Point is Green Island, which is easily accessible in low tide. It is a well known surfing spot and also great for snorkeling.

Thanks mate...

Thanks mate is all I could think as we pulled the car up to its parking spot, I like that shot. But as you can see I struggled to keep people out of it.
We went for a day drive back down to Manyana for some business, lets just say by the end of the year there may be a new blog come too life, not that I can maintain the ones I have mind you.
Hope you are all having a great weekend and I do apologize for not visiting of late but I just haven't had the time. I really could do with an extra hour or two a day and I would be sweet as.

Too see some more photos from today pop over to Fotojo...

Ulladulla

Ulladulla is a good 3 hour drive south of Sydney, it is the major town for little settlements like Manyana. No visit south no matter what the weather would be complete with out a stop in at Ulladulla for fish and chips...

Inyadda Beach

The 1.6 km long Bendalong beach also known as Inyadda Beach is the surfing beach for Bendalong. It faces the southeast and curves for 1.6 km from Red Head to Inyadda Point. A small lagoon and creek drain across the southern end during heavy rain which you can see here is very active. This is not a safe beach to swim at as it has numerous dangers and is unpatrolled.

Washies...

The top one was taken Saturday the one below on Sunday, if I knew I was going to use them on here I would have taken them from same location not 500m apart.  This is Washerwomens Beach at Bendalong, 3 hours south of Sydney it is great beach for kids and dogs and if you like to hand feed sting rays (well I am not sure of exact bread) this is the place to visits.

Manyana on a better day..

This was taken Sunday morning, couldn't do anything outdoors on Saturday as it bucketed down all day. We did manage to accomplish what we went for so it wasn't a
totally washed out weekend.
Plus my youngest just obtained her Learners permit so she also managed to get some driving time up while down there on the very quiet roads.
This week I will share the couple of photos I took this weekend, its not Sydney but we do hope for it to soon be our second home :)

Manyana

We have just ducked down the NSW south coast to our favorite holiday destination for two nights. But don't get too excited as it hasn't stopped pouring with rain and the wind is horrendous.
I am not sure I will be getting sand between my toes this weekend but that's ok as just being here is perfect enough.
Hope you all have a great weekend too.

The reflection on the glassy water were fantastic the day we walked up in the Garigal NP,
hope they are today too as we head out in the boat.
To see more reflections head over to James Weekend Reflections.

Flat Rock Beach.

Track onto beach
So this is our destination, Flat Rock Beach. We have been here several times before but in the boat and never at low tide, so we were able to see it quite differently to what we had in the past.

Low tide, looking south

Looking East.

The Track

Sometimes we get off the water and head out on foot...
Last Sunday we walked a track called Flat Rock Beach Track which is in the Garigal National Park 20klm north of Sydney CBD. It sits beside Middle Harbour and Middle Harbour Creek.
So for the next few days I will share some photos from this walk. It was cloudy and threatening rain while we walked but once complete the sun was out and not a drop of rain fell on us.

Roseville Bridge

The Roseville bridge is 17.4 metres overhead and was open in 1966.
Roseville Bridge is part of a major thoroughfare from the Pacific Highway at Roseville to the Northern Beaches and suburbs east of Middle Harbour.

April Theme Day - Pedestrians crossing

Happy Theme Day....

Had to go to the archives once again for this Theme Day.

Too see other participants in this April Theme Day head over here...

I do apologise in advance but I will struggle to get around to visit like I normally would as I am staying in hospital with my son for a few days. I have only managed this post as I have ducked home for a shower, there was no way I was going to miss Theme day..

Yes he is on the improve, well he was when I left...
