This year’s ANZAC Day March comes 97 years to the day since Australian and New Zealand troops
landed at Gallipoli to start the campaign that is credited with having contributed so much to our
national character and spirit.
The March was led this year by Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO,
Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia,
with the March Commander being Rear Admiral Tim Barrett, AM CSC RAN, Commander Australian Fleet.
Approximately 20,000 serving and ex-service personnel are expected to take part in the March.
Lest we forget! Great post, Jo!
