Nobby Head Lighthouse




The present lighthouse was established on Nobbys Head Newcastle in 1854, at the mouth to the Hunter River.

It was only the third lighthouse built in NSW after the Macquarie Light in 1818 and the Hornby Light that was also built in 1858.

    That entire area has changed just so much in the last 50 years.

    Come to think of it, the entire world has changed just so much in the last 50 years.
