Bicheno, East Coast Tasmania

We are now over on the East Coast one of of our most favorite places to visit.
This is the Bicheno blowhole.
Bicheno is known for its penguins where you can see them of an evening coming too shore. We haven't but we have sat on the sand freezing waiting for the little birds but to no avail.

Kitchen Hut Cradle Mountain

Kitchen hut was built after Gustav Weindorfer, the first settler at Cradle Mountain, began bringing guests to his home in the forest, "Waldheim" about 3Km north of Dove Lake, under Cradle Mountain.

The hut is two-stories high, allowing an upper access point, when the snow is deep.

Lake Lilla

This is a snap from our walk yesterday in the Cradle Mountain National Park.
On the right is Lake Lilla, Cradle Mountain with the snow cap and you can just see Dove Lake too the left.
Today we are walking to Marions Lookout which is the high point you can see in the middle and then on towards the snow cap of Cradle Mountain. How far we get will depend on the weather as it can change pretty rapidly down here.

White Beach Tasmania

We are currently on holiday in Tasmania and I thought I would share a snap shot with you while I wait for the husband too wake.
This was taken a few days ago at sunset at White Beach. White Beach is on the Tasman Peninsula.
We are currently staying at Cradle Mountain and enjoying getting out walking in this beautiful wilderness.
I will share more of our adventure once we return. Hope all is groovy in your neck of the woods.

My dad use to always say to me "Small things amuse small minds!" Yep oh so true when it comes too me....

This is what side tracked me this morning while hanging out the washing.. Times like this I wish I had an DSLR.

ANZAC Bridge

Sitting in traffic this morning I snapped this one.... Really wish I stuck my phone out of the car more, but I was too scared of dropping it.
