The bridge on the right was completed in 1881 and is built from cast iron and steel. It was originally decked with timber but this was replaced by concrete in 1981. Its full length is 342 m

The newer bridge on the left was built in 1980.

And now that I am about to hit the publish button I see how bad this photo really is, sorry. I promise tomorrows will be better. Oh why not have a shocka for this blogs first birthday, we have all had a birthday we would like to forget.

Nowra

The regional centre of Nowra, situated on the beautiful Shoalhaven River, is a major town on the New South Wales south coast.

We drove the 2.5 hours to Nowra this morning to collect our new boat, so over the next few days I will share with you some shots from the Shoalhaven River.

The Bay Run, Part 1

The Bay Run is a popular pathway that encircles much of Iron Cove and is located in the inner-western suburbs of Sydney, Australia. The Bay Run is particularly popular with joggers, walkers and cyclists who enjoy the pleasant waterside scenery whilst participating in exercise. It is approximately 7 kilometres long and passes through the suburbs of Rozelle, Lilyfield, Haberfield, Five Dock, Rodd Point, Russell Lea and Drummoyne. The Bay Run provides excellent views of Iron Cove for its entire course as it constantly hugs the shoreline. The Bay Run plays host to the annual Bay Run fun run, a community event that brings people together in the name of health, fun and exercise.
