St Mary's

The cathedral is dedicated to "Mary, Help of Christians", Patron of Australia.

St Mary's is the largest church in Australia, though not the tallest.

I know I have featured this memorial numerous times but, this is from a new angle. We have started in a new building with the most magical views which I hope to capture soon.

I have featured this memorial before and I will again, but this was taken in the morning light so slightly different to past shots.

Mounted Police

Mounted Police in Hyde Park. Look at bottom right corner, I am not the only person taking a photo....

The New South Wales Mounted Police Unit is the oldest continuous operational Mounted unit in the world. It was formed by Governor Brisbane on the 7th September, 1825. 

ANZAC War Memorial

The Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park South was completed in 1934 as a memorial to the achievement of the Australian Imperial Forces. The building, designed by C. Bruce Dellit, is a concrete structure clad in stone with sculptures by Raynor Hoff.

Looking North over Sydney's Hyde Park, St Mary's Cathedral, the Domain and Sydney Harbour.

Hyde Park is named after the original in London and can be found on the eastern side of the Sydney Central Business District.
