Theme Day - Entry

February Theme Day is Entry.

So here is the entry to Lake Conjola on New South Wales South Coast. It is just a snap shot off my phone as this was one of those sunsets where I wasn't expected to still be out walking to witness and I didn't have my camera with me, I am still kicking myself!

October Theme Day Detail

Well, lets just say planning to move into a 4 bedroom holiday home needed a lot of detail!
For 18+ months we have been accumulating everything needed to move straight into another house. So our already full 3 bedroom home had become very FULL. But our detailed lists ensured nothing was missed out.
So yesterday was the end of the very long countdown to our biggest goal so far, our first house.

So here are some photos of what paying attention to detail brings you. And this isn't all of it there is more!

Majority of stuff lined up waiting for truck

From the other end, yes you can't forget the dog.
It is actually because of Finnegan we found this piece of paradise down the coast.

The odd shaped stuff waiting for cars and leftovers for truck.

can't wait to unwrap my new lounges.

Happy Theme Day everyone, Sorry in advance if I don't come and visit this month but I am busy unpacking and enjoying where we call paradise.

June Theme Day - The Beauty of Decay

Happy Theme Day

 SS Minmi.
The Minmi, a collier was on its way from Melbourne to Newcastle when it hit the outside of
Cape Banks on 13 May 1937.
The main hulk of the wreck now lies above high water mark on the rock platform of Cape Banks,
the north head of Botany Bay.

National Day (2) - Waitangi Day (NZ)

Auckland, By Katelyn 2011
We have a lot of involvement with New Zealand through the NSW RSL Reciprocal Tours.

The Reciprocal Tour is an exchange programme between the NSW RSL Youth Club Members and Members of RSA of New Zealand every second year. The two countries are linked by a common heritage in ANZAC Day.

PRIDE – PATIENCE – RESPECT – INTEGRITY – DIGNITY & ETHICS

The Tour Party consists of 30 Youth Club members and 3 Officials, Tour Manager, Assistant Manager and Chaperone. Tour lasts approximately 14 days and is organised by the Reciprocal Tour Committee of Youth Council. Selection of ambassadors is very strict and deep consideration is given to the choice of Youth Club members, who are chosen for the tour.

It is the aim of the Tour programme to forge a common bond of heritage, to set ideas and to build new and everlasting friendships. It broadens their outlook and strengthens youth and Youth Clubs in each country.

My daughter Katelyn was privileged to go on the 2011 tour. We have been a host family twice for the RSA visiting tours and look forward to being one again.

Umbrella

Happy Theme Day

I had to go through the old stock to find this one, which was taken 15/1/2007. It would have been real easy to walk outside to get a wet miserable shot but I prefer to dream of where I would rather be, Manyana.

So as I post this Finnegan who is pictured here with my daughter is hiding under a bed, scared of the storm over head.

Photo of the Year

This has always been a favourite photo of mine, I think more for the memories I have of the location and the solitude I feel when I am the sole person walking on the beach, well until a fisherman appears.

Happy New Year to you and  yours.

Numbers.....

CDP Theme Day August.

Numbers?? I thought and thought about this one...
Then I realised I look at these numbers every Saturday afternoon.

If they are looking a bit scruffy it is because it was taken at the end of the game, which they won :)
