Gordons Bay
Gordons Bay is another new location for me, it is between Coogee and Clovelly. Apparently its a great place to snorkel.
I am hoping to explore more of this area tomorrow to share with you next week.
Enjoy your weekend.

Clovelly
Clovelly Beach is a small beach that sits on the end of the narrow bay. The bay is popular with swimmers. The bay is home to one of the first surf lifesaving clubs in the world, Clovelly Surf Life Saving Club, which was founded in 1906.
I never knew Clovelly was s o small and not your normal surf beach, I have so much to learn about this city in which I live.
While looking for information re Clovelly I came across this informative site about the coastal walk I have been showing you this week have a look here to see more, I know I will be using this regularly from now now on.

Tamarama
It was a bit quieter at the next beach, Tamarama.
As for this bloke below you would think after 22 years he would know to stay out of my photos! Men!
All these photos have just been quickly snapped with the phone as we were walking, if I stopped I had to jog to reach him again, so it ended up being a great workout.
Too see more cities from around world head on over to the new look City Daily Photo Site.
Its a wonderful place thanks to the dedication of some very hard working people.

Bronte Beach
Even with the crowds you can still manage to find a quiet spot to relax.

Nippers
| Sorry for the broad shot but I like to keep peoples faces private. |
Nippers in surf lifesaving are young Surf Lifesavers aged between 5 and 14 years old. For Nippers, the beach is the classroom. They gain confidence by passing the ‘tests’ of swimming, body boarding, beach sprints, dolphin-diving, spotting a rip and general safety at the beach.
Older Nippers also learn some basic first aid and may also learn CPR when they reach the age of 13.
When Nippers are thirteen years old they can complete their SRC (Surf Rescue Certificate) enabling them to patrol beaches and partake in Senior Competition.
As we walked along this section of coast line each beach had their own Sunday morning Nipper club competition running with large amounts of kids participating, and parents watching on with their coffees in hand.

Bronte
This morning my husband enjoyed a vigorous walk along the coast line from Clovelly to North Bondi return so for the next week I will share with you what Sydney's coastline has to offer. We also did this walk last week but the surf was horrendous with the beaches closed due to dangerous surf.
All those specks in the water are Nippers, I will tell you more about what a Nipper is tomorrow.
