South Head Walk part 2



This cannon was placed here prior to 1890, along with the rest of this gun emplacement and rifle walls. The emplacement was designed to protect a military jetty and boat shed from the threat of an invasion.

  1. I cannot immediately place this, Jo. Where is the canon facing back up the harbour? Above Watsons Bay somehow or further along?

  2. just as you head up from Camp Cove, which is next from Watsons Bay. Between camp Cove and Lady Jane.
